Back to Business!

Today was another amazing example of why Planet Arowhon is unlike any other place on earth. The last two days have been a whirlwind of activity and you would expect that given the huge amounts of cheering, running and singing demonstrated by our campers and staff during this year’s council games, today would be a bit slow… but it wasn’t!

Sunday brunch and its overflowing buffets of smoked salmon, danishes and chocolate milk was packed, and from there on in our campers didn’t miss a beat. High class awards tests in sailing and canoeing, trip prep for our marathon Brent and Whitney canoe trips that are leaving tomorrow morning, frog catching with nature, and a plethora of other amazing programs were offered.
In other great camp news, our juniors returned from an incredible 4-day canoe tripping adventure, bearing archaeological treasures from their explorations of the abandoned Camp Minnesing and smiles a mile wide despite yesterdays inclement weather. Joanne made a three-pointer into the Lost and Found bin during lunch, and the cheering from every section nearly blew the roof off the ML (SGDIA!) – demonstrating once again the incredibly supportive, compassionate, and positive atmosphere of our summer home!
Though the days are getting shorter, Arowhon’s incredible camp spirit continues to grow, with our campers and staff just getting louder, prouder, and more energetic with each passing day!
