Bagpipes and raspberry pie…. Just another day at camp

Last night at dinner (after the home made chocolate ice cream cookie aka Whoopie Pie dessert that causes all the campers to erupt in cheers of joy) our beloved Scottish counsellor played his bagpipes to usher in the campers who’ve chosen to go on long canoe trips this session. As those campers stood on benches before us, the Head Tripper made a moving speech about the road less traveled…then the boys going on a 12-day whitewater trip and the girls going on a 7-day trip were piped out.

The hot sun has ripened the wild berries… A cabin of Inter Boys picked enough raspberries for a pie, so I baked it for them…. Yesterday was also Junior Special Day at windsurfing with a fun skit at breakfast… The Junior Play Aladdin was announced with an elaborate skit… And Adopt a Horse at riding…and shooting in the woods at archery…. Campers at Nature picked wild raspberries and made smoothies….
