It was a very exciting night indeed as the whole camp was brought down to the front of the Main Lodge for the Colour War break skit! Everyone was abuzz with excitement and anticipation… and THRILLED to learn that this year’s theme is (drumroll please) FINDING NEMO!!!! The skit was a theatrical masterpiece, complete with an 8 foot high ring of fire spewing real flames, amazing staff acting, sweet costumes, and a finale of spectacular fireworks! For the next 2 days the 4 teams (Nigel and Gill, Dory and Marlin, Chum and Bruce, and Crush and Squirt) will battle it out on land and lake to save little Nemo from the evil dentist P. Sherman and his nasty sidekick Darla.

But that’s not all that happened on the planet today… We also sent the juniors off on their canoe trips and welcomed home the Senior Girls’ 11 day trip from their Baron Canyon adventure. They paddled in to the front of the ML to a huge crowd that ran right into the lake to welcome them with deafening cheers. Tonight’s evening activity was Arowhon-a-palooza: the annual song, dance, and talent extravaganza performed entirely by campers. We were blown away by the skills shown by our campers of all ages. After all that and a dinner of Jo’s special brisket, we couldn’t have asked for a better day at camp. Can’t wait to see what the next 2 days will hold!!!
