The Juniors have really been rocking the camp for the past couple of days! Last night they treated us to an incredible production of The Jungle Book – for such small people they sure had a big stage presence! They’ve been getting awards galore, and tonight is Junior Senior night for the girls (the Junior and Senior girls are paired up with each other and dressed as twins for dinner and are doing a talent show tonight).
The Inter Senior play was also announced today as West Side Story and we had lots of ambitious young actors audition for parts as Sharks and Jets. The sun and wind were out again in full force today, and temperatures reached a record high for the summer of 31 degrees making lake jumps after every period a must. At riding they ditched saddles and went bareback today, and the Inter Boys set up a wading pool in their section to beat the heat at Rest Hour.
Singing in the ML after meals today was louder than ever and there was a particularly impassioned chorus of “Girls Camp” versus “Boys Camp” chants after lunch. We’re all ready for tonight’s ETB so we can be rested up for the second half of first month!
