Love is in the Air

The weather today would have made Goldilocks happy – not too hot, not too cold, with a nice breeze over Teepee to temper the sun. There was music blasting all over Planet Arowhon as campers competed in Dance Battles around the site (a special activity run by visiting alumni Lorne). Lorne has has also been wreaking happy havoc around camp by letting campers accuse staff of crimes and subjecting them to trial (the punishment of which is usually some form of liquidation – either getting thrown in the lake or doused with water bottles… so many staff have taken to wearing bathing suits and goggles all day).

The Evening Activity Committee’s wedding festivities for the Juniors the other night were so popular that nuptials have become the new favourite activity at camp – Juniors choose which staff members to pair together and host weddings all over camp (complete with a real wedding gown from the costume room) and invite everyone as guests and witnesses. Evening activities tonight were a blast too, including dodgeball, Know Your Counsellor (where the kids compete to see who knows the most about their counsellors), and night sailing and canoeing.

We’re looking forward to tonight’s ETB (early to bed) so we can be rested for more fun in the days to come!
