Today’s heat called for drastic measures to beat it so we decided to kick it old school and hold a good old fashioned Arowhon “Waterfront” this afternoon! Well, actually it was the kids’ idea: at lunch the chants of “Waterfront, Waterfront” were so loud we couldn’t ignore them, so we shut down all the land activities and held a camp-wide super water general complete with slip ‘n slide, Jungle Joe, the pirate swing, water trampolines, and water sliding. There was also a lemonade stand on the ML porch and an ice cream truck driving around camp giving out frozen goodies.

It was a perfect day for our cookout dinner tonight, and even though we already had plenty of frozen treats this afternoon, nobody complained about the fudgesicles for dessert. The Junior and Senior Girls came to dinner dressed as twins (each senior was paired with a junior partner for Junior-Senior Night) and then raided Versailles (Joanne and Leon’s cabin) and stole their cookies for snack!

And speaking of raids… the Curve sign was missing this morning and was found hanging in the Point corner in the Main Lodge – good one boys! (But they better sleep with one open, because now it’s ON!). Aaaaand the Junior Boys (with assistance from the Evening Activity Committee) broke into the tuck shop and we’re pretty sure we’re missing some candy now! Mischief managed.
