Camper Takeover!

We’re excited to bring you our first Camper Takeover! Today, we have campers from the Salamanders, Owls, and LITs sharing their favourite memories, lessons learned, and what they love most about camp. Let’s dive in!

Salamander Lucas, age 9

Favourite Memory:
Mega SUPing with all my friends. It was so fun balancing and paddling together on the huge paddle board!

Something You Learned Today:
Never try to push my counsellor off a paddle board!

Dream Camp Day:
Living in Max’s cabin, going sailing and SUPing, and having snacks all day long. It would be the perfect day!

Favourite Activities:
Sailing, canoeing, and kayaking are my top picks, I love being out on the water!

Owl Chloe, age 12

Highlight of the Day:
Sailing with my friends was the best part of today. There’s nothing like the feeling of being out on the water.

Something You Learned Today:
I learned how to windsurf and pass my anchor. It was challenging but very rewarding.

Dream Camp Day:
If I could take over camp for the day, I would be Max or Mara. They’re such awesome leaders, and it would be cool to step into their shoes for a day.

Favourite Memory:
Hanging out with my friends and having fun at camp. Every day is different and I love making new memories with my camp family!

Stay tuned for more Camper Takeovers as we continue to hear from our amazing campers!

LIT Sam, age 16

Favourite Activity:
Canoeing is my absolute favorite. There’s something so peaceful about paddling through the water.

Something You’ve Learned at Camp:
How to be a good leader. Camp has taught me the importance of leading by example and supporting others.

Favourite Memory:
Singing and dancing in the rain with my friends. It was such a carefree moment that I’ll always remember.

Dream Camp Day:
If I could take over camp for a day, I would be the section head of everyone’s sections. It would be amazing to get a taste of leading each group and planning fun activities for all.
