Our last day of programming for summer 2019 was a blast. It was beautiful to watch the lake full of capable campers captaining sailboats, soloing canoes, rolling kayaks, and rail riding on windsurfers. It struck me again how much our campers have grown, both in their physical skills and emotionally in their weeks at camp. The dedication of our campers (and of the staff who nurture and challenge them) is truly something special. They make learning fun and take as much pride in cheering on their peers as they do in their own accomplishments.

Nowhere was this more apparent than during the Inter Senior Play, Wicked, last night. Seeing 15 year olds sharing the stage with 11 year olds, encouraging them and supporting them, warmed my heart. It was the perfect example of campers putting their best feet forward and keeping their eyes on the real prize: everybody feeling included and valued. So to end of the blog for this summer we want to say a huge thank you and congratulations to EVERY citizen of Planet Arowhon 2019 (and their parents for sharing them with us!). We can’t wait to do it all again next summer!!!
