There is nothing scarier for a parent than sending their most prized possession away to a place where they cannot talk to them, and the periodic correspondence you do get from them is often written in moments of high emotion that rarely reflect their overall experience of camp. THIS article is a refreshing reminder of how kids’ communication from camp can cause parents undue anxiety, and a memo to keep those dramatic bunk notes for their future comedic value. On a more positive note (speaking of bunk notes)  – my heart was warmed today by receiving this one that a parent passed on to me… As a camp director I spend much of my day dealing with the few kids who are upset or having challenges, so it sure is nice to be reminded of the 98% of them who are not in my office!
