More Sun, More Fun, and We’re Ready to Run!

Well it’s really the Brent and Whitney girls and boys that are doing the running – they have been getting up every morning to paddle, jog, and lift and are getting stronger and faster every day. We are so impressed with their dedication to their training and can’t wait to see what they can accomplish out there in the Algonquin wilderness. Speaking of trips, we said goodbye to the Inter and Senior boys going on white water trips this morning and back here at camp we’re jealous of the adventures we know they’ll be having. Not too jealous though because there is so much great stuff going on in camp too… We’ve been having surf and sail races every rest hour (the wind continues to be great), after dinner canoeing and Arowhon A, and even sunrise yoga led by Sara FAD on the dock.

The evening activity committee continues to impress with their theatrical skits and creative programs. Tonight they serenaded and proposed to all the residents of the Head Table to announce the wedding festivities they are hosting between the Junior Girls and Junior Boys Section Heads… meanwhile the Inters are playing Running Dictionary (where they work in teams to chase the “golden snitch” – a staff dressed in a gold morph suit – to get the next clue) and the Seniors are playing the odds at Casino Night.

The seniors met with beloved alumni Lorne today to start planning their Junior mentoring activities, and the campers don’t know this yet, but we’re going to start the first round of tuck tomorrow. This month feels like it’s really winding up and we can’t wait to see what else it holds!!!
