The action started here bright and early this morning with the seniors running into the inters cabins to wake them up and get them pumped for the much-anticipated full camp special day. Both sides of camp battled all day on the lake and on the shore to prove their worth to take over camp. They competed in challenges in all areas of camp that tested all sorts of different skills, like building a table at maintenance and creating complicated staffing schedules in the office. In the end it was such a close game that teams Mara (blue) and Max (red) decided to run the camp together and everyone came to dinner wearing purple to symbolize the unity of genders.

Evening activity was a wacky talent show for all of the inters and we were treated to an incredible selection of jokes, songs, dances, bodily contortions, and even an impressive burping performance. As the month winds down it feels like we’re trying to pack as much fun as humanly possible in to the last few days, and camp was again aglow with the lights of campfires all along the shore as cabin circles went outside for something special. With only 2 more days of programming left and campers getting ready for their high class tests, we are astounded at the level of dedication and skill these young people have for their sports.

We can’t believe how fast the month has gone by – time really does fly when you’re having fun! We’re going to miss our July campers like crazy but can’t wait to see many back for the 6 or 8 week terms, and to meet all our new campers coming up next week!
