This summer has been full of memorable moments, here are a few highlights and special memories from Georgia (Head Swim), Izzi (Counsellor), and Rachel (LIT Director).

What was your highlight of the day:

Paddle boarding at sunrise was my highlight of the day because getting out on the water is the best way to start the day, and it set up my day to be really amazing.

Can you share a moment when a camper made you proud/surprised?

This morning, I had a bunch of kids do an entry that they were scared to do. We worked together, and I gave them some tips. I told them that when you hum, you don’t get water up your nose, and all of them used that to help them with the entry. It was so cool to be able to help them overcome a fear.

What is your favorite memory?

Circus Day was my favorite memory because seeing everyone so happy and excited was amazing.

What are you still looking forward to this summer?

I’m really excited for Colour War. I’ve heard so much about it, and it sounds like so much fun!

Izzi, Counselor

What was your highlight of the day?

Highlight of the day was golden hour with my campers because it was so beautiful and really nice to spend quality time with them.

Can you share a moment when a camper made you proud/surprised?

The way my July kids have been integrating the new August campers has been great to see. They’ve been so welcoming.

Favorite Memory:

Watching one of my campers get her seconds in ride, I was so proud of her!

What are you still looking forward to this summer

Color War because you see the kids work really hard towards something they really care about.

What was your Highlight of the day?

I went on the water trampoline, and we were teaching each other how to do flips.

Can you share a moment when a camper made you proud/surprised?

I was very proud when one of my LITs came to me saying that a camper was vulnerable with them and opened up to them. They realized how special it was to have campers trust them and be a role model to them.

What is your favorite Memory?

Last Silly Sunday because it was a great day, so hot, and so much fun. I went sailing with some salamanders, which was a lot of fun.

What are you still looking forward to this summer?

I am looking forward to the LITs being very comfortable in their position and using what they’ve learned and putting it into practice.
