The Arowhon Staff experience
WH0, WHERE, and When?
- Applicants must be 17 years or older by the start of camp.
- Camp Arowhon is located in the heart of Algonquin Park. All of our staff live on-site for the duration of the season.
- Start: June 5th–18th, 2026 (including staff training) End: August 17th, 2026

Our canoe trips are focused on teaching technical skills AND interpersonal skills, and have a strong focus on developing our campers leadership ability. Our wilderness canoe trips range from 2 to +21 days, on both flat water and white water.
How the Hiring Process Works
Apply Online
Submit your application through our online portal.
Screening Interview
Within 48–72 hours, a Director will contact you to schedule a 15–20 minute screening call to assess eligibility and match you with the best-fit role.
Position Interview
If successful, you’ll move on to a further interview focused on your relevant experience, skills, and leadership style.
References
We’ll contact your references by email or phone. We prefer professional or academic references.
Job Offer & Onboarding
If hired, your Director will contact you with an offer. Once accepted, you’ll receive a contract and onboarding documents via email.
