Counsellors

Cabin Counsellors are the beating heart of Arowhon’s staff team. Cabin Counsellors support our campers in developing healthy social relationships, nurture their emotional growth, and share unforgettable experiences amidst the beauty of Algonquin Park.

Instructors

Our in-camp activities are focused on teaching activity-specific technical skills to both beginners and experts. Our goal is that our campers develop technical proficiency, build self-confidence, and develop a sense of community through instruction.

Trippers

Our canoe trips are focused on teaching technical skills AND interpersonal skills, and have a strong focus on developing our campers leadership ability. Our wilderness canoe trips range from 2 to +21 days, on both flat water and white water.

How the Hiring Process Works

Apply Online

Submit your application through our online portal.

Screening Interview

Within 48–72 hours, a Director will contact you to schedule a 15–20 minute screening call to assess eligibility and match you with the best-fit role.

Position Interview

If successful, you’ll move on to a further interview focused on your relevant experience, skills, and leadership style.

References

We’ll contact your references by email or phone. We prefer professional or academic references.

Job Offer & Onboarding

If hired, your Director will contact you with an offer. Once accepted, you’ll receive a contract and onboarding documents via email.
