Summer is in full swing with our third day in a row of hot sunny weather and campers have been making the most of every moment.
Arts & Crafts took the studio outdoors, where campers painted beautiful watercolour landscapes of Tepee Lake from the Main Lodge steps.
Down at the waterfront, SUP Yoga made a splash with lots of laughter and impressive balancing acts on the boards.
At lunch today the instructors began announcing third class awards earned, and the Main Lodge reverberated with cheers celebrating our campers jumping into activities and challenging themselves right from the start.
The spirits were already high after a lunch of chicken burgers, a unanimous camp favourite, and they only went up from there with the opening of our soft serve ice cream parlour and the first “Fishing with Lou” of the season before dinner.
The LITs also had a great time playing “greasy watermelon polo” before attending a candlelit ceremony where staff talked about their own experiences with the transition to staff and the reward they have found in it.
Today reminded us that the best days are often made up of simple moments: painting by the lake, laughing with friends, trying something new, and enjoying another perfect summer day together.
