Mini Camp Magic

Mini camp is one of my favourite times at camp because I love watching our full session campers show off their summer home. It’s especially touching to watch the 4 and 8 week Juniors puffed with pride as they get to be the “grown up experts” showing the ropes to the mini campers. Tonight, a bunch of campers performed amazing acts for the Mini Camp campfire, and I marvelled at how far they had come in confidence and skill since they were Mini Campers themselves not too many years ago.

In regular camp, the special activities are abounding as staff and campers try to make every moment they have left here special.

Some Owls enjoyed a birthday breakfast pontoon cruise for a cabin mate’s special day. The Salamanders and Tadpoles played Survival around camp for their evening activity. Three different cabins baked cookies or brownies in my cabin. The seniors working for high class awards in canoeing enjoyed a sunset paddle with the canoe staff.

Campers are working around the clock to perfect their skills, and of course everyone is whispering about if/when Colour War will happen and what the theme might be. So much excitement to pack into the next 2 weeks!
