Today, we hear from Jackson, Winston and Abby about their favorite moments, lessons learned, and what they’re looking forward to at camp.

Jaxon, Moose

Highlight of the Day: I was at basketball when a kid came up to me and started spraying a water gun at me. We went back and forth spraying each other and had so much fun. Another highlight was during rest hour—I took a really nice nap and woke up feeling good.

Something You Learned Today: It’s not worth it to do only a little at your activity; you should always go 100% because summer is short and you should make the most of it.

Something You Want to Learn: I want to learn how to kayak because it seems like a lot of fun. I want to learn how to do the tricks.

Favourite Memory from Camp So Far: I tried kayaking, and my boat kept getting filled with water. For some reason, I thought it would be a good idea to have two people in one kayak. It filled with water, and we had to swim back with our kayaks.

Favourite Activity: Volleyball because it’s not easy and it’s still a lot of fun.

Winston, Loon

Highlight of the Day: Sailing was really fun because we got too silly and tipped over too many times.

Something You Learned Today: I learned how to put a fishing hook on.

Something You Want to Learn: I want to try to get my 2.5s in kayaking. I really like kayaking and want to get an award in something.

Favourite Memory from Camp So Far: Going sailing on the windiest day. It was so fun, a little scary, but also fun because we were at a 70-degree angle.

Favourite Activity: Kayaking because it’s really fun.

Abby, Bear

Highlight of the Day: Sailing during general because it was senior split, and we all got to have fun with both sections.

Something You Learned Today: As a Curve, I learned that being at camp means we’re all one big family and we respect each other.

Something You Want to Learn: I want to make this summer my best summer yet because it’s my last summer as a camper. I want to live every day to the fullest.

Favourite Memory from Camp So Far: Hanging out with all my friends at snack and in the Curve because I really get to connect with everybody and have so much fun.

Favourite Activity: Sailing because you can go with your friends, and it’s a fun way to chill. It’s challenging but so fun.
