Mini Camp is August 13 – 14, 2022
Mini Camp is a weekend "taste of camp" for children ages six to nine years old, who are interested in checking out camp and not ready for a longer experience.
It's a fun weekend with our most nurturing staff welcoming Mini Campers...a warm and safe introduction to camp to build comfort for future overnight camp experiences.
Our Mini Campers live in their own wood cabins with dedicated, mature counsellors who are experienced making a young child's first experience at sleepover camp both fun and nurturing. All our camper cabins have full indoor plumbing (toilet and sinks). Lovely new showerhouses with private stalls are a one-minute walk from every cabin. Mini Campers and their counsellors will eat at their own tables in our beautiful log dining hall. They'll be welcomed into the camp community, from meeting new friends at activities to learning the Junior songs to sing in the dining hall.
Our chartered buses are comfy coaches with bathrooms and a/c. And yes, we know it might rain! Which is why we have a full rainy day program plan… just in case.
Buses leave Herbert Carnegie Centennial Centre parking lot Saturday at 7:30 am and return there Sunday at 9:30 pm.
Please review our Mini Camp Transportation details. A map and directions to camp are available here.
Staff who are trained to work with younger children lead this jam-packed weekend of fun and introduce our Mini Campers to great camp activities including:
- Horseback Riding
- Rock Climbing
- Arts & Crafts
