Carnival and Converts

We’re so excited to have almost 30 campers who have converted from 2 to 4 weeks this month! After all the fun we had today at Carnival Day it’s no wonder nobody wants to leave. And there’s so much fun stuff to look forward to in the coming weeks (although suspense is high as nobody knows quite when it’s going to happen): Sadie Hawkins, Fake-Outs, Colour War, Arowhon-a-Palooza… sometimes we don’t know how we fit it all in!

It was another perfect weather day, and we enjoyed an afternoon of carnival fun in the sun!

The playing field was transformed into an amusement park, with a mass of inflatable obstacle courses and bouncy castles,  faceprinting, tattoo, and body bedazzling booths, and so much fun food! Hundreds of sno-cones, fudgesicles, and clouds of cotton candy were consumed, plenty of pies and sponges were tossed in staff’s faces, and soak-a-grams were sent by the dozens.

The fun continued into the evening with a camp dance led by the Arowhon Crew – a troupe of talented staff and LITs who brought the vibe and the moves to the stage for everyone to enjoy. Outside the dance, campers played games of giant Jenga and 3D Tetris, battled in an epic Dungeons and Dragons campaign, and tried their hands at roasting the perfect marshmallow.

There was something for everyone to enjoy today, and the best part for me was watching campers come together, let loose, and have a great time in the way kids should.
