Treats, trips, and so much more….

We’ve had a great couple of days hosting our Mini Camp weekend, giving over 50 6-9 year olds their very first taste of Arowhon life, and we’re excited that so many of them decided to stay on for the extra 2 nights for our extended version of Mini Camp, where they get to choose their own activities just like regular campers. We’re so proud of and grateful to our full session campers and staff for being incredible hosts and ambassadors, showing the new campers what Arowhon spirit is all about.

With the heat wave in full swing, we’ve been spending plenty of time in the lake, swimming, paddling, and playing to keep cool. And thanks to our brand-new ice cream shop, Tepee Treats, we’ve been beating the heat in the sweetest way possible — nothing says summer quite like a soft serve cone with friends.

The heat hasn’t stopped our campers’ incredible drive for challenging themselves, though. Campers from all sections have continued to achieve high class awards at an astonishing speed – barely a meal passes without a proud camper being carried into the Main Lodge on the shoulders of their equally proud staff while the rest of camp cheers for them.

Today was extra special as we gathered at the trip dock to welcome the Point Larges back from their epic 10-day expedition canoe trip. They were welcomed home with a hero’s greeting of their friends and staff jumping into the lake to join them on their paddle in and surrounding them with proud cheering and huge hugs once they reached shore. Our proud trip-takers returned with big smiles, amazing stories, and the kind of confidence that only comes from taking on — and conquering — an adventure like that.

From first-time campers discovering the joy of Arowhon to seasoned trippers returning from the wild, it’s been a week full of milestones, laughter, and the kind of memories that last long after the summer ends.
