Last night when campers came from their evening activities to the Main Lodge for snacks they found a dramatic scene of earth elements showcasing their power (flame throwing, levitation, rocks moving on their own…). Staff representing Earth, Air, Water, and Fire nations called campers to action to end the war between the nations by working together and find the next Avatar to join them together in peaceful harmony.

Our July special day was a smashing success, with the camp divided into 4 teams, competing in a jam-packed day of classic Colour War type activities. This morning was Scavination (where campers have to catch staff who make them do a challenge in exchange for trivia answers), Counsellor Hunt (where both Mara AND Peal were caught by the blue team), and the infamous tug of war.

This afternoon was equally full with activity competitions followed by a camp wide marathon, where the culminating event was all the seniors on the team working together to assemble a puzzle of clues.

But the excitement didn’t stop there; as soon as the Marathon was done, the bell rang welcoming the 12 day expedition trippers back to camp. They were greeted with an enthusiastically cheering camp rushing down to the docks, and all their friends swimming out to their boats as they approached. These intrepid adventurers were carried into dinner on the shoulders of their proud cabin mates and staff, to a standing ovation from the entire camp – what an incredible feat they have accomplished!

With only a few more days left in first session we’re keen to get back to activities and make the most out of our remaining time in this incredible place!

This evening
