We’re bursting with pride for our incredible North Camp campers, who absolutely rocked the intercamp dance competition yesterday. Their energy, teamwork, and spirit lit up the stage—what an amazing way to represent Arowhon!
The sun was out in full force again today, and we’re happy to share that many of our campers rose to the occasion with excellent sun safety habits—hats on, sunscreen applied, and staying hydrated. Their efforts were rewarded with some well-deserved sweet treats! We’re so grateful to be able to stay cool in the lake during this heat wave, and the docks and water toys were full all day. And it could not be better timing for the launch of our very own ice cream shop (Tepee Treats) next to the Main Lodge – soft serve anyone? Each cabin gets a period of team building initiatives and ice cream eating – a surefire combo for cabin bonding!
This evening’s 5th period (our weekly evening activity where instructors host their activities, but with a twist) was packed with laughter, creativity, and unforgettable memories. Where else can you choose between synchronized swimming with the camp directors, axe throwing, and archery tag? Campers got to try something new, challenge themselves, and just have a blast.
As night fell, we were treated to a spectacular view: the Milky Way glittering across a perfectly clear sky. Many cabins took the opportunity to do cabin circle under the stars, sharing reflections, stories, and the special bond that makes camp life so meaningful.
3 weeks in and camp is running like a well-oiled machine, with campers and staff alike feeling truly at home here. We’re excited for all the special things coming in the last week of the session… stay posted to hear about them!
