Rens is from the Netherlands. He is in his third year at CIOS Leeuwenborg studying to be an Outdoor Instructor. Rens trained for a year as a gymnastic teacher for children as well.  At home he already works as an outdoor instructor for Rofra Sportieve Sportarrangementen! He played field hockey for nine years and soccer for 2 years! Rens is well versed in the outdoors!

Jonny is on his sixth summer at Camp Arowhon and will now be working alongside some of his former campers! He has a huge amount of passion for and experience in working with boys. He coordinates and facilitates school-based boys programs about masculinity with Next Gen Men, creates a podcast on the inner lives of boys called Breaking the Boy Code, and is a member of the National Youth Working Group on Gender Equality. Also, his favourite nail polish colour is red!

Joey recently graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston with a degree in mathematics and engineering. This will be Joey’s 14th summer at camp, and 7th on staff. She is excited to return as a Head Counsellor for her third summer and cannot wait to get back to her home in the Senior Girls Section! When she isn’t exploring the great outdoors or learning about math she spends her time playing with cats, building model planes, or reading murder mysteries. Joey can’t wait for another unforgettable summer in favourite place in the universe!

Evan Latsky – Junior and Inter Girls

Evan is super excited to be heading back to camp for his 14th summer! He is from Toronto but is studying computer engineering at Queen’s University.  As a camper, Evan enjoyed spending time at the sailing dock and on the tennis courts. Outside of camp, Evan is an avid runner and holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest half marathon while wearing full hockey equipment. Evan was a counsellor for 3 years, Junior Boys Section Head last year, and cannot wait to be returning to camp as a Head Counsellor!
