As the sun sets on our first day at camp, we’re happy to share that everything went smoothly on arrival day. It was awesome to see returning campers reuniting with friends and staff and to see the excitement and anticipation from new campers as they settle into camp.

Laughter and lively conversation filled the Main Lodge during dinner as campers enjoyed spaghetti together. The meal ended with the entire camp standing up on benches and singing ‘Hooked on a Feeling’ with arms around each other,  followed by an emotional farewell speech for Tripping Director Andre, who is moving on from Arowhon after 17 years with us, but will forever remain a part of the Arowhon family! We’re excited to welcome Lenny (past tripper and head of kayaking) into the role.

Campers ended the evening participating in fun activities in their sections to get to know each other. It’s heartwarming to see how quickly everyone is bonding – Planet Arowhon is already starting to feel like one big family!
