The first day of camp could not have gone more smoothly. The weather was perfect (not too hot, not too cold), all luggage made its way to its owners, and everyone enjoyed the traditional first night pasta dinner topped off with baker Arturo’s famous chocolate brownies.
Evening activities were icebreaker games for all of the sections and then teaching sectional cheers which reverberated across the lake. Now as camp falls silent and the loon calls echo hauntingly across the lake it’s hard to believe there are over 500 people on site.
We’re crossing our fingers for more good weather for Tour Day tomorrow (but the silver lining to silver sunshine will be “hocho in Jo’s” – Arowhon lingo for hot chocolate in Senior Director Joanne’s old cabin) for campers after their swim test.
