Sunshine and Smiles!

Today was one of those picture-perfect days at camp! The sunshine was much appreciated after yesterday’s rain and campers were soaking up every bit of fun. We had a lot of kids achieving their 3rd’s and 2.5’s in various activities, showing the impressive dedication of Arowhon campers to learning and challenging themselves.

As the evening rolled in, the campers had a blast roasting marshmallows by the campfire, balancing a whole cabin on the mega-SUP, and wizzing down the zip line for 5th period (the once weekly evening activity where instead of doing things with their sections, we have a whole extra activity period after dinner).

Meanwhile, the LITs got into some friendly competition with an Iron Chef-style cook-off. They whipped up some questionable and some fantastic meals, with the caramel apples stealing the show. After the cook-off, the LITs headed to another Mystique. Tonight, they heard stories and tips from instructors on the power of learning.

It’s been an amazing day filled with fun and learning. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
