A Very Rustic Riverdale

Energy was buzzing today through the silver sunshine as the Senior Girls worked hard all day transforming the Main Lodge into a retro diner that Pop Tate would have been proud of, complete with milkshakes on every table and individually-labelled Jughead crowns for every camper. The food, however, was a few steps up from burgers (although we did have the famous Cotillion curly fries)  We feasted on sushi, smoked salmon canapes, barbecued steaks and chicken, and greek salad, followed by home made chocolate-covered strawberries and truffles. Our tummies settled while we watched the Senior Girls performing a spectacular Rustic Lounge, and then we had plenty of energy to dance the night away.

Everyone was back in camp tonight after the Junior Girls returned from trip, along with the Inter Boy white water paddlers, and we took a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come since the beginning of the month. We can’t believe it’s passed so quickly, but also how much has been accomplished. Whether it was working toward activity awards, going on challenging canoe trips, or making new friends, we’re confident that every single camper and staff at Planet Arowhon has grown and stretched in some way. We’re sad to be packing up our 1 month campers tomorrow but excited for another month of fun in the sun on Tepee Lake with a brand new group of campers!
