Arowhon paddlers enter the longest single day paddling race in the world

Representing Camp Arowhon in the longest single day paddling race in the world – Assistant Director Max Muszynski and former Head Canoeing Instructor Ben Kates. The race starts tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 7 am and goes from Huntsville to Bracebridge and back – 130 km with 19 portages. There’s no stopping on the race, so Max and Ben will paddle through the night, and are hoping to cross the finish line sometime around 3 am on Sunday.

To follow Max and Ben’s progress, look at the Live Race Map at http://muskokariverx.com

They’ve been training for weeks -paddling the Burnt/Little Doe Circuit in the dark to get used to night paddling and portaging, sprinting to the Pines and back… and of course they’ll be representing – wearing the Arowhon gear.
