Welcome back to the Camp Arowhon podcast. For those of you just joining us for the first time, each week, we’re bringing you a new story about Camp Arowhon, to help us feel connected, inspired, and supported by our beautiful wilderness home. We’ll feature past campers and staff, explore the mysteries of Algonquin Park, and remind ourselves of the culture of caring, learning and respect that makes planet Arowhon the best place on earth.
This week, we’re talking about the Baby Self, the Adult Self, and our teenage kid’s need for approval and direction for “the herd”. Our Camp Director, Joanne Kates, will once again share her extensive knowledge of guiding kids and young adults through challenging circumstances. Most importantly, she’ll teach us why it’s important to “take a Q-Tip” when we find ourselves, as parents, in conflict with our teens.
