Buck Lake was a Banger

Today we had our first rain storm of the summer and it provided a much-needed cool down after days of hot, muggy weather. It was great to see how our campers and staff found the silver lining in the “silver sunshine” and kept playing with smiles on their faces! Soccer turned into mud soccer, puddles became playgrounds, and we sang even louder than normal to drown out the thunder. Speaking of singing, the Senior Girls led us in our first Friday night sing along after dinner and it was fabulous! They did all the old camp favourites like Piano Man, Lean on Me, and Circle Game. You could feel the camp magic in the air! All the Senior Girls are back from trip now and are raving about how great of a time they had (especially those who chose to go on the white water trip – what an adventure!).

The highlight of the day was evening activity – the Senior Boys treated us to a fantastic and hilarious production of Buck Lake (the play they write and produce making fun of camp life). The boys sang and acted flawlessly and had us rolling in the aisles with laughter. It was topped off by a great dance party in Rustic Lounge where the campers and staff rocked out together showing off their dance moves in a huge circle.
