Green Leech was Great!!!

The citizens of Planet Arowhon woke up well rested after last night’s ETB and ready to go for another beautiful day. Everyone was thrilled with the matzoh ball soup at lunch (a fan fave) and the Senior Girls were excited to get tuck after lunch. Campers spent all of their spare time today preparing for the Green Leech canoe race – where teams of campers and staff have to race around the island on Teepee Lake in anything BUT a regular canoe! The race took place after dinner and was won by a group of Inter Boys, followed in close second by “Team Twin” – all the sets of twins in camp crammed into one boat. Honourable mentions included a floating inflatable donut, and a boat made entirely of paddles. After all these days of sunshine the water is so warm that it didn’t even matter that most boats sank before leaving shore:)

After a yummy dinner of chicken fajitas and carrot cake for dessert we’re getting ready to head out to evening activities. The Inter Boys are playing Survival (where they are assigned to be either herbivores, omnivores, or carnivores and have to run around camp collecting food and water and avoiding the hunter and disease), the Junior Girls are dressing up their staff for a fashion show, and the Senior Girls are starting to rehearse for Rustic Lounge – can’t believe it’s only a few days away!
