Cookout and campfire

All the Juniors came back from their four-day canoe trip today, and said they had a blast – all of them!! Oh joy! Four girls were carried in to cookout dinner tonight on the shoulders of the riding staff – They had just gotten their 2nd class award in riding. Midway through dinner it was announced that another senior girl passed her 2nd class test in archery. Evening activity was campfire. The whole camp follows the Section Heads carrying torches to the Junior Boys campsite… Campfire had a hilarious samurai swordsman and Alexander the Great as MC’s. Thom Nurse (a 23 year veteran of camp nursing here) told the story of the mystery of Tom Thomson’s death on Canoe Lake. Campers and staff sang songs and did silly skits.
