A Terrific Tour Day

After a brief rain shower this morning the weather held out for the rest of Tour Day. 6 and 8 weekers resumed normal activities and 2 and 4 weekers went around to all the activities to meet the instructors and get excited for their choices in the days to come.

All cabins came for a visit in Versailles (Director Mara’s cabin) to talk about social and emotional safety while drinking gourmet hot chocolate, and of course we took the cabin pictures which will be posted here tomorrow.

Tonight was our first night of sectional evening activities, ranging from Dodgeball to Know Your Counsellor to ICE (special “individual cabin experiences” organized by counsellors) and we loved seeing our brave campers stand up in front of the whole camp for their announcement skits.

It was also a delicious food day at camp, with pancakes for breakfast, grilled cheese with plenty of real cheddar, tomato soup, and fries for lunch (plus our famous salad bar), and grilled sausages, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, and green salad for dinner.

We’re all excited for the Junior play break tomorrow at breakfast, and to get started on the cabin clean up competition to earn tuck and ice cream parties, but especially for our first day of regular activities.

We’re so grateful to all you parents for sharing your amazing kids with us and making the magic of camp possible!
