Last night was the first cookout and the first campfire of 2014. Cookout was yummy – home made hamburgers and French fries, veggie burgers and vegetarian hotdogs for the vegetarians. It was a glorious sunny dinnertime and fun for the whole camp to be eating outside together. Then evening activity was campfire for the whole camp… We were led by torches to the lovely woodland campsite called the Junior Boys campsite. There were songs both silly and soulful, funny skits, and great guitar and singing performances by campers and staff… plus two ten-year-jacket ceremonies, and we also gave five year camper paddles to honour campers celebrating their 5^th summer at camp. And this morning was the first Sunday brunch sleep-in of the summer. We had chocolate croissants, bagels, smoked salmon and cream cheese, fruit galore and eggs to order in the kitchen. Plus everyone can come to Sunday brunch in PJ’s, and sit wherever they want. Fun!
