Too much fun to keep track of….

All the Juniors came back from their canoe trips today, and a good time was had by all… Am so glad they’re back – I missed their energy… Today was also the first two heats of the Wayne Peck Sailing Regatta. One camper and one staff in every sailboat… And so many people want to sail that we’re having four heats before the race.

The canoe staff did a fab original rap about canoeing at lunchtime to promote the annual Brahmbo’s Dash Canoe Race, which took place after dinner. This too is a camper and staff in every boat…. 20 canoes raced after dinner, all the way across the lake. A great race.

And for dinner tonight I did the annual Point Small Cooking Class: 30 Point Smalls (our 15-year-old boys) cooked dinner in my cabin under my direction. They made pasta with pesto made from fresh basil, Greek salad, shrimps sautéed with garlic and lemon, steaks, and berry smoothies. We had a great time cooking together and even more fun eating the fruits of our labour.

Tomorrow morning at the crack of dawn, Senior Girls leave on a marathon Whitney canoe trip and Senior Boys leave on a 170 km Brent and Back canoe trip.
