Tonight was campfire….the section heads led us with torches to a beautiful woodland campsite…. 150 staff and 350 campers sitting around the bonfire and singing songs together, laughing at silly skits, applauding wildly as their friends and staff members perform and lead them in songs, is incredibly heart-warming. We are a community of people from age 7 up… How rare and special that everyone listens respectfully, nobody is too cool to sing silly songs, and everyone loves it. Sitting on the cedar log benches with the ring of old maple trees surrounding us and the Section Heads standing in front each holding a torch aloft, there’s magic in our world and it’s the magic we make together. No keyboards or screens required for this enchantment. A sweet day at camp!
