Senior long trips are back!!!

The entire camp turned out to the lake shore to welcome back the two Senior 10-day trips. These brave voyageurs paddled and portaged for 10 days in the Temagami wilderness, and we’re so proud of them. Tomorrow at lunch we’ll have a ceremony to celebrate them, and give each one a miniature Arowhon yellow canoe…. At Nature today campers built a teepee… Juniors did their Trip Prep today – practicing canoe-over-canoe T rescues, team-building at high ropes, learning to pack a pack and put up a tent. They’re over the moon excited for their trips – for many of them it’s their first canoe trip ever. Their counsellors and trip leaders have been madly planning diversions and trip skills stuff to teach them on trip, and checking out fun storybooks to read ’round the campfire (with marshmallows, of course).
