What a difference the heat makes

At Rest Hour it seemed every camper in camp was in the water. There were kids playing on Jungle Joe, jumping on both water tramps, going down the water slide, playing on the pirate swing (out over the water) and swimming at every dock. How grateful we are that it finally warmed up! Could be part of why spirits were through the roof at lunchtime today. Section kept interrupting announcements with competing cheers… at one point we had the entire dining hall cheering Boys Camp versus Girls camp (always a great way to get everyone excited) and then the Junior Girls and Inter Girls section beds got their kids to cheer the boys’ cheers…. which resulted in those two Section Heads being thrown in the lake, which resulted in much hilarity on the part of their campers.. it was funny watching the Junior Girls try to protect Daisy, their Section Head…. Nature and Canoeing are doing a combined activity today, paddling to a sunken boat down near Point Bay (the original Lizzie, from the 40’s) and snorkelling around it to look for historical and natural phenomena. Lunch today we had two fab soups (Thai rice noodle with tofu, and broccoli with cheddar), plus the usual two salad bars, Caesar salad and manicotti.  Plums and peaches for dessert. Yummy.
